Bentley Map is a family of applications that form the foundation of the Bentley geospatial desktop and server products. It is a full-featured 3D GIS designed to address the unique and challenging needs of organizations that map, plan, design, build, and operate the world´s infrastructure. Bentley Map has tools for creating, persisting, maintaining, analyzing and sharing all your 2D and 3D geospatial information.

Users can easily integrate data from a wide variety of sources into engineering and mapping workflows. Multiple data types with varying coordinate systems are transformed "on-the-fly" as they are added to a session. Powerful analytical and presentation tools allow for detailed analysis, studies and decision support. Enhanced Print Preparation tool, labeling and annotation, join tables and comprehensive query and data browsing tools are included. Bentley Map integration with Oracle Spatial is one of the strongest in its class and uses only standard Oracle data types and processes. An API is available to develop custom applications.

• Bentley Map PowerView
  • Bentley Map PowerView is an entry level 3D GIS tool. PowerView can be used for viewing and markup of Bentley Map files as well as other GIS formats. It can also be used to do light editing and feature acquisition in the field or in the office. The Data Browser can be used to query and report on features in the project. The Map Manager can be used to create thematic maps and labeling.
• Bentley Map
  • Bentley Map is a complete 3D GIS system. It contains all of the tools included in Bentley Map PowerView as well as additional interoperability tools, direct editing of Oracle Spatial and Microsoft SQL Server Spatial data, full thematic mapping, buffering and overlay capabilities. When combined with MicroStation, Bentley Map also provides full 3D solid model editing for urban modeling applications.
  • Bentley Map also includes a "Cadastral Mapping Configuration" for those applications requiring maintenance of a cadastre fabric or any intelligent polygon based data set. Also included in Bentley Map is a complete set of "Advanced Map Finishing" tools that can be used to create cartographic quality maps with custom text placement, special fills, output to PostScript, four color separations and much more.
• Bentley Map Enterprise
  • Bentley Map Enterprise is a complete solution for enterprise 3D GIS. In addition to all of the tools available in Bentley Map, the Enterprise edition includes "Advanced Point Cloud Processing" and "Scalable Terrain Modeling" tools as well as all the "Advanced Raster Processing" tools required to edit raster data, operate in a hybrid raster/vector environment, apply textures to 3D urban models, and work with Oracle Spatial GeoRaster and digital elevation models. The Enterprise edition also includes 3D analysis tools for clash detection in 3D urban models and enhanced Oracle Spatial editing including long term transactions, multi-user editing, history and valid time support.
